I used my late grandmother’s inheritance to help fund a move and future with my husband. While he was away on a three-week work trip, I packed our entire home for that move.

Three days after he returned, he asked for a divorce.

He later told me he had been falling out of love with me since before he proposed, including during a trip I fully funded for us. When I asked why he never fought for our marriage, he said, “I thought it was a mind game.”

I’m now rebuilding from scratch and facing housing, moving, transportation, and legal expenses alone.
